A new challenge has been entrusted to Xavier Dolan! The 29-year-old prodigy starred in the sequel to It, the horror film shot in Stephen King’s fantasy last fall, the daily Deadline reported. This second installment will show the band Loser’s Club, the kids to whom the clown Pennywise had fun to fuck a big fright, while they became adults. James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jay Ryan and Isaiah Mustafa will play the characters in adulthood in this new narrative that unfolds several years after the first film.
Xavier Dolan will play a secondary character named Adrian Mellon, a gay man living in the city of Derry, who, according to Stephen King’s books, will have to face attacks from groups trying to intimidate him.
It must be a real pleasure for the actor to share a set with Jessica Chastain, having unfortunately had to cut her editing her latest film. The filming of the sequel to It is scheduled to begin next month, with the release of the film scheduled for September 6, 2019.
If you thought that the darling of Cannes was busy enough, think again. Before he finished his next feature film The Life and Death of John F. Donovan, he has already started production of a new film, his eighth in his career.
